Osmani: Final Countdown

Festival day is nearly here! Are you ready to explore The Rhythm of the Nile Festival?

This week we got a musical welcome as we arrived at school when Jack, Abimaro and Naomi busked in the playground and got some of the parents to come and help out.

We’ve been so busy over the last few weeks that we thought it was time our parents got involved so we got them turning our painted palm leaves 3D. Meanwhile we practised some of our songs for our festival day and Naomi taught a traditional Tanzanian welcome song called Jambo, jambo bwena, which we’re also dancing to.

Everyone painted a huge piece of fabric with hieroglyphics of their names which Ellie is going to turn into a massive pyramid for our final performance.

There’s less than a week to go now so stay tuned for and watch our festival unfold!
